general FAQs
What is the difference between type 1 and type 2 charging cables?
You can find out what charger type your car has in your car handbook. Most new EVs are type 2 compatible.
Type 1 is a single-phase charging cable, whereas Type 2 charging cable allows both single-phase and 3-phase main power to be connected to the vehicle. Most recent cars (post 2017) come with a type 2 charger and all chargers in the last few years are Type 2 compatible.
